Samsung on Thursday announced the release of the SCH-W760, the first handset in the industry equipped with an infrared camera that allows users to hold video conference calls in low-light environments. The slider also has a traditional, rear-facing 3-megapixel camera and otherwise features a 2.8-inch AMOLED display with 240x400 resolution. There is also 8GB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot for adding even more storage space.Koreans will have the benefit of watching S-DMB TV programming in their home market, while it also supports up to 7.2Mbps on 3G networks. Bluetooth rounds out the known specs of the unique Samsung handset. The SCH-W760 sells for the equivalent of $457 in Korea. It's not known if Samsung plans to bring a version of this handset to other markets. [via Akihabara]
