Software developer unintentionally outs new Minis?

A software developer has, intentionally or not, fueled speculation that Tuesday's Apple keynote speech will see the announcement of an updated Mac mini. In promoting v4.6 of its namesake digital asset management (DAM) system, it describes "new Mac mini hardware" as being supported, with the option of bundling the two products together in a server bundle. In operating as a server, the otherwise unidentified Mini would be equipped with 1TB of storage.

A new Mini is expected in part because Apple's last update to the computer was shipped in August of 2007; additionally, the company made a long-awaited MacBook refresh in October. Rumored Mini specifications include dual display connections and an NVIDIA-based graphics chipset, as well as an extra USB port, and a FireWire 800 connection to replace the current 400 option. Prices for SeeFile's Mac mini servers are expected to start at approximately $1,500.
