Nearly 600 applications to the Kleiner Perkins iFund were mistakenly published on the web, including the startups' contact information, founder bios, business plans, demos and financial information. The blame for the mistake has fallen on Meteora Technologies Group, Kleiner Perkins' former hosting provider, according to TechCrunch. The SQL file containing the data had been indexed by Google and discovered by a Fruux staff member.Meteora reportedly acknowledge its role in the incident, claiming that an employee had accidentally published the file. The documents were removed shortly after Kleiner Perkins and Meteora were informed of the leak.
