Speck intros SeeThru Satin case for MacBooks
Accessory maker Speck has announced the SeeThru Satin, a case for Apple's unibody MacBooks and MacBook Pros. Though based on a tight-fitting hard-shell design, the case uses a rubberized exterior layer, meant to both improve its feel and provide extra grip. It is divided into two pieces, and sports rubberized feet on the bottom section for added friction.

The Satin is additionally vented to avoid overheating, and exposes all drives, ports and control surfaces, including the battery indicator. Buyers must specify whether they are shopping for a MacBook or MacBook Pro; in either circumstance the Satin should begin shipping in red, purple and black colors beginning November 30th, at a cost of $50. Additional colors will be released in January 2009.
