AccountEdge 2009 adds Business Insights feature
MYOB has released the latest version of its small business management software for the Mac, AccountEdge 2009. The update features a new Business Insights tool, integration with Marketcircle Daylite, and new options for form design. Google Maps has been integrated as well, providing directions and maps to customer, employee, or vendor locations. MYOB claims that the Network Edition offers quicker searches, faster reports, and other speed enhancements. New filters have been added for searches and reports.
Business Insights can be used to analyze financial trends, ratios and profitability, and provide charts and graphs for reference. Additional safeguards have been added for compliance with PCI Data Security Standards. Only the last four digits of credit cards are displayed in the program, and users can restrict access to sensitive customer or employee information.
Prior-year payroll information is now available, eliminating the need to reference a backup for old data. The online help database has meanwhile been expanded and updated, along with the Company Data Auditor function.
AccountEdge 2009 and AccountEdge Network Edition 2009 are now available. New users can obtain the software for $300, while an upgrade is priced at $160.
