iPhone apps: Crystals, FotoTimer, PoetrySinger
Crystals ($2) is a recreation of the classic game Mastermind for the iPhone. Players attempt to place crystals in the correct order to unlock the pirate code. After each guess they are given a few hints which help them narrow down the proper code. The speed in which a user is able to crack the code determines their pirate rank and users can customize the settings to create a difficulty they are comfortable with.

FotoTimer ($1) adds the ability to set a timer to delay taking a photo. The delay can be set to be 2, 5, 10 or 20 seconds, allowing users time to get into the picture themselves. The application also helps with blurry shots due to low light conditions, as any movement caused by tapping the capture button is avoided.

PoetrySinger ($1) allows users to create poems on their iPhone using a list of over 200 quirky words. The words can be placed into any order and when finished users can have the application read their poems out loud. Poems can also be uploaded to PoetrySphere where other people can access and view them. Users are also able to download the most recent poems to see what other people are creating.

Surf Report (free) gives users access to surf reports with information such as the surf height, swell direction and tide. Uses can also monitor the weather and view 2-day forecasts. Users can find the beaches closest to their location and then monitor the conditions at each to determine where the best surfing is going to be.

iCaption ($1) allows users to add captions to the photos they take with the iPhone's camera. Items like date, time and a brief description can be added so users can more easily remember the situation in which the photo was taken. The app can add date and time automatically using standard date formats or users may select to customize the way the information is displayed.
