Spell Catcher X 10.3 improves suggestions, vocabulary |
Rainmaker Research has released Spell Catcher X 10.3, the latest version of its spellchecking and writing tools. The DirectConnect function instantly displays errors as they appear, allowing for immediate correction or continued working with all of the catches being saved for later fixing. The software is configurable to auto-correct common mistakes, such as inverting two letters in a word.Users can set the program to alert each mistake with an audible signal. In addition to internal dictionaries, information is gathered from the Internet which provides extra details such as pronunciation. The Mac OS X Spelling Panel is integrated, and support is offered for languages such as French, German, Italian, Spanish and Swedish. The latest release is said to offer updated dictionaries, a greater vocabulary and better spelling suggestions through a "Proximity Linguistic System." |
