Microsoft developing Tellme...
Microsoft developers are working on a project that will bring its Tellme voice-activated search to the iPhone, according to CNET. The service allows users to vocalize their search terms, which are combined with GPS information to find the closest listings. Movie information, including showtime listings, can be retrieved through Fandango; sports, weather, driving and travel information represent some of the other focuses.

Tellme will be adapted for the iPhone's unique interface, probably through use of a large virtual button to initiate voice, says senior Tellme director Dariusz Paczuski. The app is also set to be one of the first Microsoft releases on the iPhone platform, but is still said to be months from completion. Paczuski promises a release before the end of the company's fiscal year, which runs into June.
