The latest version of Spanning Sync, v2.0, has been released, now supporting sync between Address Book and Google contacts. The new trickly sync feature will automatically update Google with additions or changes to iCal or Address Book. The user interface and network performance have also been enhanced. MobileMe compatibility has been improved, and photo sync has been added.Users can now use Spanning Sync for large amounts of contacts or tens or calendars with tens of thousands of events. A new log window has been included for status monitoring, with improvements made to troubleshooting reports.
The software allows for sharing of entries between iCal and Google Calendar or Address Book and Gmail Contacts, with support for Google Apps. Content from multiple Macs can also be organized. Spanning Sync 2.0 costs $25 for a year of service, or $65 as a one time purchase.
