Rivet 1.2 adds Aperture sharing for Xbox 360
Cynical Peak has released a new update to Rivet, its Mac software for the Xbox 360. The app lets users stream music, photos and videos to a 360 console, which normally requires the use of a PC and Windows Media Player. Mac folder structure is reproduced in the 360's media browser, and content can be pulled not only from iTunes and iPhoto libraries, but user-specified folders.

The new version of the software adds support for Apple's photo workflow software, Aperture, which can now share library photos automatically, triggering updates in Rivet whenever files are added or deleted. Cynical has also fixed problems with media parsing, particularly for iTunes libraries, and a separate "silent quit" error. The software costs $19 and requires Mac OS X 10.5.
