Sonos update adds MIMO support, more
Sonos System Software 2.6 was released today by Sonos, a developer of wireless multi-room music systems for the home environment. The software update includes support for SonosNet, MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output), larger music collections, NasBasic firmware and Mac OS X Leopard. Customers have been experiencing various issues when trying to connect to a Mac computer running OS X Leopard but version 2.6 should solve all of those conflicts.

Customers who register or upgrade their system withe Sonos 2.6 will receive more than $200 worth of DRM-free music offers from Classical.com, eMusic and LiveDownloads.com. These offers provide customers with a wide choice of albums, tracks and concerts. Customers will more specifically receive, three DRM-free albums, one classical, one jazz and one world fro Classical.com, 50 DRM-free music downloads and one free audio book from eMusic and 10 DRM-free concerts (MP3) from LiveDownloads.com. "By providing free feature updates, their (customers) experience continues to get better even after they buy Sonos. Today that means helping our customers build their music collection," said Sonos' President & COO.

The free software update is available now for download to all Sonos customers.
