Readers of PC Magazine have awarded top scores to Apple Products, during a recent survey on electronic products. Apple received the highest ratings in all of the categories it was involved in, laptops, desktops, routers, cell phones, media players and tech support. In all of these categories Apple received Readers Choice status and performed "significantly better than average." This year the iPhone was named the "ultimate smartphone" and topped other competing smartphones such as the BlackBerry Curve and Pearl.

The Mac desktops dominated all areas of desktop reliability and technical support this year. "No Windows vendor can touch the favorable scores Apple received across the board," noted the venerable publication.

The iPod has continued its reign on top of the board for media players, although it is notable that Microsoft's Zune has gained popularity and was only rated 0.1 points lower than Apple's iPod. Apples laptops have improved on their overall scores from previous years, as seems to be the yearly trend. The biggest improvement being in repairs, users rankings rose to 8.8 from last years 8.1.

The final category Apple topped was routers, Apple's Airport base stations were once again deemed the most reliable and received the highest likelihood of recommendation.
