The CalDAV feature supports sync between multiple users and devices, but is at present only editable on a computer only through iCal. The technology also requires the creation of a new CalDAV server account for every calendar, and the typical re-ordering of calendars is non-functional. In that regard, syncing with multiple Google calendars prevents switching between calendars in iCal.
