InFocus on Wednesday introduced the X10 Full HD 1080p projector in the UK. Part of the company's Home Theater range of offerings, the X10 features a 16:9 native aspect ratio, and a contrast ratio of 2500:1, which can be boosted to 7500:1 via the active iris built into its lens. The DarkChip1 DLP chipset was sourced from Texas Instruments.
The X10's 300W lamp gives it a 1,200 lumens brightness rating, and is rated for 2,000 hours of operation. The 1.2:1 fixed lens is able to create a clear image up to nearly 17 feet, or over 200 inches. Vertical Digital Keystone Correction is adjustable up to 13 degrees. The DLP color wheel is a 7-segment unit, calibrated to the D65K color accuracy standard.
Connection options include an HDMI 1.3 input, a proprietary M1-DA port that can use a DVI-D, VGA, HDMI and component video plug via an adapter, component video, RS-232 jack, wired remote and screen trigger. There are no audio outputs and speakers are likewise not integrated into the X10.
The X10 will cost an equivalent of $2,165 in the UK although release dates have not been announced.
