Curl ships final Runtime En...

Curl has released the final Mac version of its Runtime Environment, previously available only for Windows and Linux systems. The RTE is needed to run programs on Curl's Rich Internet Application Platform, which can service a number of client machines. Apps can include 2D and 3D graphics, animations and audio, and the scripting of event-based interactions.

Protocol support includes the likes of SOAP, PHP, J2EE and .Net, and graphical interfaces support the entry and display of east Asian languages, such as Chinese, Korean and Japanese. The RTE is compatible with Intel and PowerPC Macs running Mac OS X 10.3 or later; applications must be built for the most recent version of the RIA Platform, 6.0. A basic Deployment license is free, but prices for a Pro/Deployment license start at $12,000.
