The RocketRAID 3522 firmware is easily updated through the HighPoint RAID management web GUI utility. Firmware and drivers updates are available for download from the HighPoint website. The RocketRAID 3522 will boot to Mac OS X from a single drive or to a RAID 1(Mirror) drive for an extra, if needed, level of protection against a single drive failure. For faster booting performance - RAID 0 (Striping) is supported and for even higher booting performance and protection, booting to RAID 5 or 6 (Single and Dual) parity RAID set is supported. The RocketRAID 3522 supports booting to Mac OS X (desktop and server) versions of 10.4.x (Tiger) and 10.5.x (Leopard).
