Quay 1.1 extends Leopard Dock
Coder Rainer Brockerhoff has released a fresh update to Quay, a Dock extender for Mac OS X Leopard. The app restores hierarchical menus to the OS -- last found in Tiger -- and also lets users sort Stacks in a variety of ways. Quay can be set to work only with specific Stacks, and can be toggled off completely by holding down the Option key.

The v1.1 patch is required for users of Mac OS X 10.5.2, but also allows the placement of icons on either side of the Dock, and can show process information for running apps as well as version information on icons. 64x64 preview icons can be displayed, and keyboard shortcuts now include a full range for Dock navigation, along with a Command-key option that opens folder contents in Finder. Finally, French and Smart Folder support has been added. Quay costs approximately $10.
