DAQ: first OS X 64-bit data...
VVI has updated its data acquisition and strip chart application, DAQ Plot to version 10.5.1. Te new release adds 64-bit capabilities, making it the first 64-bit capable app of its kind available for Mac OS X. The app is traditionally used in medical device, pharmaceutics and other important health and engineering projects. The new release also uses the latest hardware-accelerated graphics techniques to deliver data acquisition is real-time and up to 50,000 samples per second.

Also new is "Plug and Play DAQ Hardware," which allows hardware to push data almost immediately after it is pugged in. This version fixes a intermittent bug in the built-in real- time backup of data where the application sometimes fails to mark the backup correctly before the application quits. Company officials said: "DAQ Plot uses frameworks for 64-bit and 32-bit PPC and Intel architectures for the most advanced data acquisition possible. Designed by VVI, the leading expert in framework design for data reporting, the frameworks provide the ultimate features for industrial projects that rely on enterprise-wide data acquisition and report solutions."
