Chromatic Bytes recently unveiled ZeusDraw 1.3, an update to its vector-based illustration and design software, adding a number of new or enhanced features. ZeusDraw can now use either the RGB or CMYK color model with new documents, as well as color profile for color management in the document space. Users can now perform bitmap exports in either CMYK or grayscale. New users can purchase ZeusDraw for $90, while a 30-day demonstration version is available for download as well.
ZeusDraw now features a complete layer system, allowing users to add, delete, rearrange, make invisible, or lock and unlock layers. Object opacity can be changed on individual objects or groups. Importing has been automated, no longer requiring the user to specify the type of file they wish to import.
Vector PDFs can be exported from the print dialogue, and shadows are drawn properly on objects situated behind the one creating the shadow. Lastly, Chromatic Bytes has reorganized ZeusDraw's preferences dialogue, while all of the changes to the application required a new file format, .zs2.
