Mac users with Safari previously only had access Mail Classic. The Mac version of Firefox had access to both Classic and the new Yahoo! Mail. A post to Yahoo!'s blog says "There are some other enhancements that aren’t Mac specific, so be on the lookout. I'll be back with more news on that soon." Yahoo! recently dismissed a $44.6 billion takeover bid from Microsoft, setting the groundwork for a long conflict between the firms. The search firm's Board of Directors says it has unanimously rejected Microsoft's offer after believing that the deal "substantially undervalues" Yahoo's worth. The reputation associated with Yahoo's name, its user base, ad investments and finances are all worth more than what Microsoft has proposed, according to the statement.
