Macware ships Logo Design Studio Pro
Macware today released Logo Design Studio Pro (site down at time of writing), a new vector-based logo design application build from the ground up with two years of Macware customer feedback. "When developing our new vector based logo design application, we discussed the core design features with our Logo Design Studio users so we could truly take the Pro version to a new level," says Bruce Lowry, Macware's President and CEO. "In fact, we quickly realized we needed development to start from scratch in order to deliver an experience that any novice or professional would appreciate." Logo Design Studio Pro is priced at $60 (system requirements were unavailable).
The software includes more than 500 pre-designed logo templates and 1,300 premade logo objects. Bézier editing shows adjustable nodes that can change the look of shapes, text and curves while Boolean operations allow users to quickly create complex new shapes by adding as well as subtracting shapes and text together.
More than 100 creative filters help give logos unique looks using Apple's Core Imaging technology, and the application supports adding text as an outline of any line or shape.
