AKVIS LightShop 2.0 standal...
AKVIS has released AKVIS LightShop 2.0, an update to the lighting effect software available as both a standalone application and a plug-in that runs natively on Intel-based Macs. The update is compatible with Photoshop Elements 6.0 as well as Apple's recently released Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard operating system, and adds a new interface language for French-speaking users. AKVIS LightShop 2.0 requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later, works with Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/NT/2003/Vista, and is priced at $120.

AKVIS LightShop 2.0 is designed to help users create impressive light effects, like lightning in a stormy sky or a colorful rainbow over a city. The software can create a reflection on a raindrop, a glow on smoldering wood in a fireplace, flares on the sun, and lights of distance planets. "Light effects can brighten up any photo: make it look more natural (by adding reflections on shiny objects) or on the contrary - add a bit of magic and fantasy," said AKVIS. "Just a few clicks and the eyes of your loved one sparkle like diamonds; some simple manipulations - and a moonlit road appears in night scenery." AKVIS LightShop 2.0 offers numerous ready-to-use light effects, enabling users to practice on available presets and create exclusive new effects after becoming comfortable with the software. Users can also save custom presets for future use, or to share with others.
