FuzzMeasure Pro 3 designed ...
SuperMega-UltraGroovy today released FuzzMeasure Pro 3, an update to the audio and acoustical signal-analysis software package for Mac OS X Leopard. The latest release adds an array of frequently requested professional tools -- like a live Sound Pressure Level meter that users can calibrate in the field. The calibration is usable to produce accurate SPL vs. frequency graphs, while the SPL meter aims to help live sound engineers in monitoring sound levels at multiple positions in a large venue. The software is re-engineered to take full advantage of Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, is priced at $150, and requires Leopard to run.

Upgrades for current users are also available for $75, while users who purchased FuzzMeasure Pro 2 since June 1st of this year can upgrade for free FuzzMeasure Pro 3 includes an extensive list of improvements to the solid foundation in FuzzMeasure Pro 2 that allows users to add, average, convolve, and correlate measurements to illustrate interactions between multiple systems -- like speakers and crossovers. FuzzMeasure Pro 3 also supports producing group delay, as well as harmonic distortion graphs for exploring nonlinear behavior in audio systems.

The update supports sophisticated Spotlight searches, and provides QuickLook functionality for easily locating as well as viewing FuzzMeasure documents in the Finder. "FuzzMeasure Pro 3 launches on the three-year anniversary of its 2004 debut. Since that time, FuzzMeasure has grown from highly specialized impedance measurement software for loudspeaker builders to a well-regarded general-purpose audio and acoustical measurement tool used throughout various industries," SuperMegaUltraGroovy stated.
