The Safari Beta Update 3.0.4 (Windows) address an issue in Safari Tabbed browsing that may lead to the disclosure of user credentials and multiple vulnerabilities in FreeType v2.2.1, which could lead to arbitrary code execution, according to Apple. Apple also notes that the update fixes other serious flaws that could allow malicious websites to set JavaScript window properties of websites served from a different domain and where an attacker may cause the execution of JavaScript in the context of another site. In addition the latest beta fixes a flaw that allows a malicious website to read the URL that is currently being viewed in its parent window and another where JavaScript on malicious websites may access or manipulate the contents of documents served over HTTPS. The updates come on the heels of other Leopard updates to Final Cut Pro and Soundtrack Pro (as well as other Pro apps) and new updates to its older operating systems: Mac OS X 10.4.11 brings Safari 3 as well as numerous other changes, while its Panther security update improves security for AppleRAID, bind, CoreFoundation, Flash Player Plug-in, and Foundation.
