PDO, Wrappers offer new cases for iPods

PDO recently announced several new additions to its iPod case lineup, introducing several aluminum and silicone models for the iPod touch, Nano, and Classic; while Wrappers unveiled several new sleeves for the 3G Nano. After receiving iLounge.com's 2007 iPhone Case of the Year award for its TopSkin silicone case, PDO has introduced the TopSkin for the iPod touch and 3G Nano. Both cases include screen protection, and feature a 360° ratcheting belt clip and wrist strap. The TopSkin for iPod touch sells for $20, and $15 for the Nano, and are available through PDO's online store.

The new aluminum PDO cases are dubbed the Aluminum V2 for iPod classic, and the Aluminum N3 for 3rd generation iPod nano. Both are made from aircraft-grade anodized aluminum, and offer neoprene padding inside to protect the iPod from harm. The screen area is protected by a clear plastic cover that is fixed to the aluminum body. An optional belt clip comes with either case, and cutouts allow convenient access to all ports and controls. The N3 is available for $25, and the V2 sells for $30 on PDO's website.

Wrappers' sleeves for the iPod Nano come in an assortment of colors and styles. The sleeves have a very low profile, and the company says the cases add virtually no bulk to the overall size of the Nano. The basic style is available in Canary Yellow and Jubilee Red Alcantara – which the company says is to help spot the tiny Nano – while the shiny sleeves are advertised as being super durable and waterproof. The colorful cases cost £11 (~$25) and the shiny sleeves for £14 (~$30).
