Apple is preparing a new update to iTunes, bringing it to version 7.5. Although the update is a large step from v7.4, the new version will primarily be focused on stability fixes and small feature additions, and doesn't seem to include any outstanding new features, according to AppleInsider. There have been several users reporting problems while upgrading iTunes tracks to iTunes Plus, which Apple will supposedly be resolving.

Although the update will be mainly for bug fixes, Apple is improving iTunes' ability to deal with duplicate videos and songs, and will most likely be introducing support for the UK and German release of the iPhone. The aforementioned problems with iTunes Plus revolve around a freezing issue that crops up when a track has been fully downloaded. The bug causes iTunes to hang indefinitely, resolved only upon force-quitting the application. The update is currently in late beta, and should be seeing release within the next week. According to those close to the project, any of these details are subject to change as the beta evolves, resulting in a timeframe that is uncertain at best.
