Mark/Space has announced information on a pair of updates for its Missing Sync programs, which allow Mac users to synchronize data such as contacts and calendar information with phones not normally supported by iSync. Currently available is the minor v1.0.2 update to The Missing Sync for BlackBerry, which adds support for unspecified new phones, while also alleviating connection problems reported by some users. Some preliminary fixes for Mac OS X Leopard have been implemented as well, namely the prevention of accidental Time Machine backup of Missing Sync's internal files.
Forthcoming for all versions of the program is a major update, which has no date attached but will the first update deliberately targeted at Leopard compatibility. Mark/Space in fact recommends that users avoid using Missing Sync with Leopard until the update is available, since there are known issues such as crashes when synching with Windows Mobile Bluetooth devices, or a complete inability to copy contacts to PSPs.
