Dot.Tunes software is a fully developed Web server application that supports MP3, AAC, AIFF, WAV, MPEG, MP4, and MOV files. The server software is designed specifically to offer up audio tracks as well as video files from iTunes at high speeds, integrating with iTunes installations to handle large libraries of media. Dot.Tunes says its software is always secure, reading the iTunes library file and never interfering with the contents of the computer. Users choose listeners who are invited to a private network where they can access only those files chosen by the Dot.Tunes user. Access levels are customizable for each network visitor, enabling Dot.Tunes users to keep a tight reign on who has access to their collection. The software also supports remote logins via the internet, providing all shared content via the internet based on that user's user privileges.
