Apple on Saturday launched its first Scottish store, located at Buchanan Street, Glasgow. An Italian site reports that some eager consumers waited outside overnight, and that by 7 AM there were approximately 70 people waiting in line, and at 9 AM, the line had extended to hundreds. The outlet is an elaborate two-level building with a glass staircase, and at launch had 18 iMacs, 2 Mac Pros, 2 Mac minis, and 32 MacBooks and MacBook Pros on display, amongst other products. The store will occasionally play host to live music, with native band The Dykeenies scheduled for 8 PM on August 28th.
