DivX is giving away free DivX Pro licenses for both Mac and Windows systems through today only, enabling users to enter an email address to receive a serial number for the movie creation and player software while the Web browser is forwarded to a download link. DivX Pro for Mac is normally priced at $20, and allows users to create DivX videos as well as play them back. The pro edition includes the DivX converter, DivX Pro Codec, DivX Player, and DivX Web Player as opposed to the latter two items that come with DivX for Mac. DivX Pro for Mac requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later with QuickTime 7 or later.
