Lithium Network Monitoring ...
Lithium has released its Lithium Network Monitoring Platform to monitor networks, servers, and appliances via a management platform. The software is designed to provide an end-to-end solution with automated device monitoring, out-of-the-box support for SNMP, and an integrated trouble-ticket case management system. The platform is built around a scalable and modular architecture, according to the company, which incorporates a Unix-based server-side component (Core) to perform automated device monitoring, data collection, analysis, and storage to manage the multi-user case management system. Lithium Network Monitoring Platform is priced at $500 for the Professional edition -- which monitors up to 25 devices -- or $1,300 for the Enterprise version to monitor unlimited devices (specific system requirements were unavailable).

Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows console clients provide users with a graphically rich and interactive monitoring management interface, while a Web-based interface provides a means to monitor and manage from any location with internet access and a Web browser.
