The new release is an entire rework with new features including true 3D functionality, real-time editing with full rendering capability, and new animation tools. The update also includes shadow casting with local lights, fully editable primitives, high resolution output for various file formats, and new proprietary texture mapping. GroBoto 2.0 is designed to generate imagry quickly in a workspace that doesn't overwhelm users with technical details, is available for pre-order for $80, and requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
