Drive Genius supports Intel-based Macs
Prosoft today announced that the latest version of Drive Genius now supports Intel-based Macs. Drive Genius, a Mac OS X utility designed to provide hard drive management, offers an easy-to-use interface for a variety of disk utilities, including a drive optimizer, volume/drive/media analysis, volume repair/rebuild, and performance benchmarking and data integrity checking. It can be used to initialize drives, create and delete partitions, and securely erase the data. In addition, Drive Genius features advanced tools for resizing and moving of volumes without reformatting, and sports a sector-editing tool to modify the data on any sector of the drive. "We're excited to provide this new version of Drive Genius that is now Universal Binary that will maintain, manage, and optimize your PowerPC-based Macs and the most recently released Intel-based Macs,” says Greg Brewer, president and CEO of Prosoft Engineering. Drive Genius is available as a Universal Binary for $100 and runs on Mac OS X 10.3 or later.
