Safari's market share totaled 1.93 percent in June of 2005, but now amounts to 3.19 percent. Industry experts predict that Apple's recently released Boot Camp software -- which allows Intel Mac owners to boot either Mac OS X or Microsoft Windows -- will draw more consumers as well as business customers to the Mac platform. Safari is considered by some to be a measurement of the world's Mac user base, as Safari is only compatible with Mac OS X which is designed to run exclusively on Apple's Mac hardware.
