Miglia debuts USB 2.0 HDTV ...
Miglia Technology today announced TVMini HD, a new desktop device that allows users to watch, pause record and rewind HDTV on any Mac. Powered by Elgato’s EyeTV software, the new TVMini HD is "smaller and less expensive than any comparable product, and compact enough to take with you on any journey." Miglia’s TVMini HD supports free-to-air or free cable Digital TV on your Mac (not compatible with paid digital or satellite TV). The DVR-like device supports full HDTV resolutions of up to 1080i (requires dual G5 processor), supports USB 2.0 connectivity, and includes a portable digital TV antenna to watch TV on-the-go using its ATSC/Clear QAM decoder. TVMini HD includes an infrared remote control that allows users to switch channels and perform other basic VCR/TV-like functions. The included EyeTV software allows users to edit TV shows and remove commercials as well as export recorded conetnt shows to Apple's iPod and/or Sony's Playstation Portable device. It is available now for $250.
