Aspyr today announced that RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 for Mac has hit "gold master" and that the title is scheduled to begin shipping next week. RollerCoaster, licensed from Atari, allows gamers to build, operate and experience "the amusement park of your dreams in RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, where you can actually ride the rides!" RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 is the first Mac version in the successful Rollercoaster Tycoon series. The game features an all-new CoasterCam, which allows players to see their park from the eyes of a guest as well as new crowd scenes with enhanced park guests and characters. It offers more than 170 rides including new-to-the-franchise roller coaster types, realistic day/night cycles, extensive still-picture and movie-making functions, and the new Fireworks MixMaster to create pyrotechnic masterpieces and synchronize them to music. RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 will ship for $50; it requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 and a 1GHz Mac.
