CD+G format discs are used for professional karaoke. iStar also handles .kar and midi files, which can be found for free on the Web. The interface is designed to be simple, and allows users to choose from three different sizes for Karaoke text. iStar allows users to create playlists and organize music logically. It acts as "your iPod for Karaoke." Compatible drives include the PX-71 series (6UF, 6SA, 2UF, 2SA) form Plextor. iStar Karaoke costs $50.
