Apple's Soundtrack no longer available for purchase
Apple has quietly removed all mention of its entry-level Soundtrack music composition software from the Apple Store, providing evidence that the company no longer has plans to sell the software in its current form and confirming a report by AppleInsider that Apple has notified resellers that the product has an "end-of-life" status and that the company would no longer honor backorders, would not accept any new orders, and would not provide automatic order conversion. The audio application was introduced at Macworld Expo in July of 2003, is no longer available for sale from Apple Store. Apple debuted the product at a price of $300, but later reduced it to $200.
