Excel announces MacA&D for Mac OS X, offers beta |
Excel Software today announced version 7.5 of MacA&D OS9 as well as a beta version for Mac OS X. MacA&D is a software engineering tool that automates requirements management, software modeling, code generation, reengineering and flexible report generation. Popular design methods are supported including structured analysis/design, object-oriented design with UML, data modeling of information systems and real-time, multi-task design. Customers that purchase the Developer edition of MacA&D OS9 7.5 this year are also being invited to participate in the Beta Program for MacA&D OSX. They will receive a free upgrade to MacA&D OSX when it ships in January 2005. In addition to modeling enhancements, MacA&D OS9 7.5 adds a new mode for evaluating MacTranslator and a command to export documents to the new XML based format used in MacA&D OSX. It is available in Standard ($500), Education ($850), Desktop ($1300), and Developer ($2000) editions.
