The camera features a GT HEXANON lens, a newly developed Signal Processing Engine, magnification of photos up to 12x on the camera's LCD panel, a redesigned exterior ("stainless steel and aluminum design elements combine to create a modern, yet timeless design"), dual card slots (Memory Sticks and SD Memory Cards), and a macro mode that allows photographing objects just 2.4 inches away.
