Over 1500 people were in line as of the opening--more than a dozen of whom camped out overnight. The store opened about fifteen minutes late--reportedly for waiting for the arrival of Apple CEO Steve Jobs who "was stuck in traffic", according to security officials. Ex-San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown performed the official ribbon cutting ceremony. MacNN was on hand, offering free food to those in line.
