| Eight Mile Style, the music publisher for Eminem, filed suit late last week against Apple claiming it used one of Eminem's songs in a television advertisement without permission, the Associated Press reports. The ad in question was one of the first launched for the iTunes Music Store, and featured a 10-year-old singing "Lose Yourself." The ad initially aired on MTV in July 2003. "Eminem has never nationally endorsed any commercial products and ... even if he were interested in endorsing a product, any endorsement deal would require a significant amount of money, possibly in excess of $10 million." The 15-page lawsuit filed Friday in U.S. District Court in Detroit claims that Apple CEO Steve Jobs phoned the manager of Eight Mile Style and asked Eminem to rethink his position, to which Eminem responded by ending talks with Apple.
