Steinberg to release Nuendo DTS Encoder
Steinberg's Nuendo DTS Encoder software for Mac OS X will debut this week at the MacWorld CreativePro expo. It incorporates the DTS Coherent Acoustics audio compression algorithm. This technology makes a reproduction standard available on the consumer market "as good as that found in professional studios." One of the world's leading surround formats, DTS is featured on over 20,000 movie screens worldwide as well as countless home theater, PCs, game console products, and 5.1 Music, DVD-Audio and Video discs. "All routines are automated, you merely need to specify the files that are to be encoded," explains the developer. Nuendo DTS Encoder will cost approximately €850.
