|Less than 24 hours after the new iPhone has been announced, more cases have been unveiled for the device. The new cases range from the utilitarian Bulldozer from Cygnett, to the luxury offerings from Italian leather company Orbino. Most cases are available for preorder today, and will ship by the beginning of October.
Waterfield Designs have introduced their five best iPhone cases, updated for the iPhone 5. The iPhone Wallet, the Smart Case, the Suede Jacket, the Hint, and the Travel Case. The iPhone 5 Wallet is made with US-sourced black or brown leather with a clear front window for view and use of the phone. Internal pockets hold money, credit cards, and receipts, and a self-locking zipper keeps contents safe and secure. The Smart Case uses an ultra suede liner to keep the phone clean as it slides in and out. Brown leather flank each side of the case for an easy grip. The Suede Jacket is ultra suede inside and out, and an optional mesh rear pocket can be used for storage. The Hint is a leather sleeve for the phone, with a rear pocket for storage. An iPhone travel case is also available, and keeps the phone and all of its accessories together with padded interior compartments.
All of Waterfield's cases are available for pre-order now. The iPhone Wallet is $39, and ships September 28. An iPhone Smart Case can be had for $39 and up, and will be available October 5. The iPhone Suede Jacket is available on September 28, and costs $10 and up. October 3 is the release date for the iPhone Hint, available for $25. The iPhone travel case is available now for $35 and up.
Australian case manufacturer Cygnett has nine cases with varying style options available for the iPhone 5 purchaser. The UrbanShield comes in two materials: Brushed Aluminum for $25 and genuine Carbon Fiber at $30. The Lavish is a leather flip case with a secure magnetic closure available for $40. The FlipWallet, also available for $40 is a microfiber folio case with cash and card pockets designed to keep all your valuables secure.
The ICON Art Series is a collaboration with Aboriginal artist Ronnie Tjampitjinpa, Scarygirl creator Nathan Jurevicius and New York’s street artists Tats Cru. Each exclusive case is available for $30. The $25 WorkMate is made from impact-resistant silicone and polycarbonate, and has an impact resistant silicon design. Ruggedized case "Bulldozer" is built rugged to handle tough treatment for $19.
Both the AeroGrip Feel and AeroGrip Form are $19 polycarbonate snap-on cases featuring a rubberized and glossy finish. The Vector has a textured 3D pattern made from impact resistant material and costs $19. The Polygon (retail of $17) is an ultra-slim light weight case showcasing a triangular prism design. The SecondSkin is a soft silicone case that offers both protection and flexibility for $17
Premium leather goods manufacturer Orbino announced the availability of the Pantera Cinque Case for the new iPhone 5. Hand made in Italy, Orbino is presenting the Pantera in four vegetable tanned Tuscan leathers: brown, black, pecan and deep red. Crocodile, ostrich, stingray and python skins are available instead of leather as well. All of the cases are available starting in early October, with prices ranging from $189 for a leather case to $399 for some of the more exotic animal skins.
