The latest Arizona Central Computing column talks about two Apple stores opening in Arizona: at the Chandler Fashion Center and Biltmore Fashion Park in Phoenix and Apple's solicitation for help at its Biltmore Fashion Park store: "Although Apple hasn't informed the media about the date either store will open, my bet is the Chandler store opening will occur when the Chandler Fashion Center has its official opening Friday, October 19th."

Why?
Why did Apple decide to put two stores within 20 miles of each other? Their distribution makes no sense in some places.
Here in Salt Lake, we will be surrounded by 7 Apple stores, the closest being about 700 miles away.
Phoenix, Denver, San Francisco, LA, San Diego.
Why not a store in Vegas?
There are huge areas of the west with nothing close, and nothing planned.
Hmm, maybe I'm just annoyed by this because my favorite local Apple reseller burned down last week...
