An OSOpinion piece discusses IBM's use of a new marketing slogan that mimics the infamous "Intel Inside," campaign. The upcoming Nintento GameCube, which contains a PowerPC processor variation, will be the first product to display the "IBM Technology" logo. Author Kelly McNeill says that "Apple may receive marketing support in this area."

They should have been doing this from the introduction of the PPC.

    I'd love to have...

an IBM Technology sticker/mini-plaque on my next Apple. As long as it's got a 1GHz+ processor. =D

    on back

As long as the sticker is on the back. Dont want it interfering with my nicely designed macs.

Gotta love when you buy a PC, and half 300+ stickers planted all over the front

    They used to...

...put "PowerPC" on the case. Back in the beige days... before time began.

    Nintento?

Great, another area where Wintel is going to beat powerpc. Microsoft's x-box is going to KILL the gamecube, and a little sticker promoting the powerpc is probably doing more harm than good for apple and IBM.

"Microsoft's x-box is going to KILL the gamecube"

I have my doubts, MS seems to be shooting themselves in the foot at every opportunity. But time will tell.

    X-Box

X-Box is hurting, MS won't be able to get them out in numbers, this has been widely reported and many gaming pundits doubt that MS will have the sort of success in gaming that they are accustomed to in their other endeavors...
