    Increasingly useless

Portable MP3 players will become increasingly useless as more record labels start producing unrippable CDs

    No Mac

These ugly little thangs aren't Mac compatible. Punk a** b*******. Why does MacNN (note the word Mac in the name) post stuff that we can't have? This site was completely different a year ago in that the updates were constant and quality. Now it's all delayed and second hand.

    Bad name?

Is it just me, or have they made a stupid naming decision - will people think "irock" sounds a bit like Iraq?

    Ha!

Bryan, I think the name change just hasn't gone through yet (WinblowzNN). One of the big news items for today is the shipment of the Radeon 7500, a card that is winblowz only.

Clearly the future is the unrippable CD.. I read that one or two is already out now.. although they won't say which ones have the new CP krap. I suspect that it won't take all that long for it to be broken. Plius think about the millions of hours of music already on CD.. I don't think MP3 players are going to be all that irrevelent all that quickly.

    c'mon- mac stuff please

we expect when we see a headline about an MP3 player on *MAC*NN, that we'll be able to USE the bloody thing.
Are we missing some info on this site abnout mac support?
How about a complete story or nothing at all.
Unless you're trying to instigate a campaign to get them to support mac - in which case be explicit.
Otherwise, i need this like a hole in my head.
If you want you can post a story about my Dodge Neon - it's not Mac compatible either, but it's a hot ticket.

    Have a laugh at least...

    From the iRock FAQ:
    5. Why do I get an error message when I disconnect the USB player from my PC?
Answer: When using Windows ME or Windows 2000 operating systems, you must use the hardware eject icon located on the lower right of the desktop screen to remove the USB cable.

How do you eject a USB cable :-)
