Morning tech news: Exodus, the high-profile "new economy" Web hosting firm, is filing for bankruptcy protection; Microsoft is investing $30 million over the next 12 months to woo advertisers to its MSN portal; and Corel said that "financial discipline" helped achieve profits of $500,000, or 1 cent a share descreased revenues $34.2 million.
