MacsDesign Studio today released Web Help Desk 5, a new web application for managing IT support that claims to meet the "needs of technical support groups managing thousands of clients and assets at multiple sites."
Web Help Desk 5, a WebObjects-based application, offers browser-based access to a variety of platforms including Mac OS X Server, Windows 2000, and Solaris 8. The object-=oriented design application offers intelligent business logic, asset management, a graphical reporting module, and email-based alerts. Pricing starts at $2000 for two tectechnician/administrator seats, with additional seats available for $250 each. An unlimited site license is available for $5000.
