Sorenson Media says it will soon release two new public betas for Sorenson Video 3 Professional owners, Sorenson Video 3.1 Professional and Sorenson Squeeze, which allows you to encode and deliver high-quality QuickTime 5 media for streaming and progressive downloads with both single-pass and 2-pass Variable Bit Rate (VBR) compression options. The betas, for both Mac OS 9 and OS X are only available to owners of Sorenson Video 3 Professional Edition. Sorenson Video 3.1 adds support for OS X, single-pass VBR, multi-processor support under Mac OS 9, Sorenson Squeeze integration, and other performance improvements and quality optimizations.

The end of Cleaner ??
Since Cleaner has dissapointed lately, and is now being sold, I think this is a strategic move from Sorenson not to get too tightly knit with an app that might be dying.
